Transformational Leadership
I love this look at transformational leadership and a leader’s responsibility to influence and steward change. What an exciting time to lead others! For this month’s application, I want us to focus on what John has outlined as essentially the three steps to transformational leadership:
Identification of the needed change Vision to guide the change Execution to engage others to make the needed change
Each step contains a series of questions we should be asking ourselves as well as actions we should take once we answer those questions so that we can live out each step. Take some time to work through these questions with a change that is needed in your business or personal life.
Process of Transformational Leadership
1. Identify the change needed. Questions to Answer: What is the problem or opportunity that you want to address? What needs to change? Why should things no longer continue as they are? Why is change the solution? Action: Once you have clearly thought through these questions, write down the change needed.
2. Create a vision that guides the change. Questions to Answer: What is the desired result of the
